Puerto Rico in Pictures
El Yunque, Puerto Rico
After Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Puerto Rico's second biggest tourist attraction is El Yunque, the only tropical forest in the US National Forest system.
The day we took the trip to El Yunque was unusually dry and clear. From the top we had a magnificent view of the North-East coast all the way from San Juan to the islands of Vieques and Culebra.
Yokahu Tower, built in 1962 as an observation point. The legend says that the good spirit "Yukuiyu" reigned from that montain top protecting Puerto Rico and its people, the Taino.
Town of Luquillo, seen from Mt. Britton Tower.
The town of Fajardo, further East from Luquillo.
 Luxuriant vegetation along the trail.
 La Coca Waterfall.
La Mina Falls. Tourists, tourists everywhere.
After a day long trip, some rest at the hotel was more than welcome.
