Śalabhāsana (The Grasshopper)
The Attention:
During the motion, as well as while maintaining the position, the attention focuses naturally, correcting the position.
The Technique:
• Lie prone on the ground.
• Place the hands along the body, palms facing down (or make fists).
• Breathe in and hold the air.
• Keeping the legs well together and stretched raise them by using the muscles of the back and pushing the hands to the ground.
• Hold the position.
• Slowly lower the legs and exhale.
• Relax.
• Repeat once more if necessary.
Recommendations
Initially the chin will push to the ground. After mastering the position, avoid that.
