Monaco in Pictures
Monte Carlo. Monaco
Pictures from one of the most envied places in the world. The propaganda around the money fidgeted here exaggerates the activity of a place otherwise unremarkable.
Alley with a motley of flags, in Monaco, in front of the Monte Carlo Casino. The image on the flags is, unsurprisingly, a playing card.
The terrace on one side of the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco. Although the prices are very stiff, there is no shortage of customers.
The entrance to the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco. The admission is free, but the attire is not casual. The bodyguards would not permit the visitors in shorts to enter the casino.
One side of the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco.
One of the most decorative expensive cars parked in front of the casino.
Hotel de Paris, on the other side of the Monte Carlo Casino, across the terraces. A building which beauty rivals the one of the casino.
 One of the casino terraces.
The casino side facing the sea.
Another terrace of the casino, with some of the few contemplative tourists. Most of the tourists coming to Monte Carlo stop at the terraces, gambling halls, or at the boutiques with pricey and kitschy souvenirs located near the terraces.
Monte Carlo area seen from above.
The small harbor for luxury yachts, near the casino.
The International Conference Center is located under the terraces facing the sea. The supporting pillars are placed in the water.
Monaco as you may have not imagined: condos again and again, tall and packed together in a small area, similarly gray as in any other provincial town in other countries, but at a quite different price.
