 Mal Pais, a surfer’s heaven was a heaven to us as well, though not just for its surfing as only the most persistent of us managed to catch a wave or two.

 Berlin Cathedral, or Berliner Dom, is the short name for 'The Supreme Parish and Cathedral Church' in Berlin, currently located on Museum Island.
 In this church began the Protestant Reformation from Switzerland and Germany in 1520. The twin towers of the church are seen as a symbol of Zurich.

 Designed to carry the water across the small Gardon river valley, Pont du Gard was part of a nearly 50 km aqueduct that brought water from the Fontaines d'Eure springs near Uzès to the Castellum in the Roman city of Nemausus (Nîmes).  Riu at Ocho Rios is an all inclusive resort. Paying upfront for everything is probably alright if you do not want to carry money or credit cards around to pay for every drink and bite. Although tipping is not a must, you will however feel compelled to do it most of the time.
Between riding our rented bicycles between beaches, boogie boarding, surfing and snorkeling at Punta Uva, Cocles and Cahuita, and long happy hours (yes, they do call them happy hours) in Puerto Viejo with our feet practically in the water, we settled for a few days in this slower paced life.
 Sapa is this tiny town in North Vietnam surrounded by verdant peaks constantly in mist and rice fields spreading across the valley in all sort of green shades. I booked a three-day trek and it ended up being just me and the tour guide, which was ok, most of the time.
 Grape size raindrops were smashing into the car windows so hard I was having second thoughts about deciding to come to Costa Rica in the rainy season. Maybe I had underestimated what "rainy" really means in a tropical country.

 I stopped taking photos of places. A white beach adorned with “spinach” seaweed, a sunset over a white breaded mountain, a tumultuous waterfall in a smoking rainforest…they all start to look the same if you take out the people that come with it.
 I couldn’t feel my feet anymore; the cold was piercing all my exposed skin, my mouth was as dry as the alpine desert I was surrounded by, and the shouts of the fellow trekkers had been drowned by the throbbing headache echoing in my ears.
The trip to Tanzania took only two days but I was pleasantly surprised when I got to Cairo on my ten-hour layover to discover that even though Egypt Air was going to give me no miles for this trip they were treating me to a hotel and meals during the layover.
 Saint Martin or Sint Maarten is a tiny island in the Caribbean Sea, the smallest island to be shared for the last 350 years by two states, France and Netherlands.
 If traveling in summer months you should buy your ticket a few days in advance, especially if you are going to popular summer destinations such as anywhere on the coast or San Carlos de Bariloche or Mendoza.
