This year we started our annual photosynthesis trip in the oldest US city: San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico in Pictures
El Morro is Puerto Rico's best known fortress. Spanish fortified this 'morro'. which means 'promontory', after Sir Francis Drake put San Juan through the baptism of fire when he attacked a small fleet of Spanish frigates anchored in the harbor on the night of November 23, 1595.
There are fifteen lighthouses around Puerto Rico. One of them is located in the Maunabo municipio, Guayama district, on the South East side of the island.
The day we took the trip to El Yunque was unusually dry and clear. From the top we had a magnificent view of the North-East coast all the way from San Juan to the islands of Vieque and Culebra.
United States in Pictures
This adventure took about three hours, from inflating the balloon to landing. We flew over rural areas North of Baltimore, being aloft for about an hour at around 300 feet (100 meters).
Florida Keys is an archipelago of over 1,700 islands located in the South-East of the United States.

Canada/US in Pictures
Niagara Falls consists of two waterfalls: the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side and the American Falls. The Horseshoe falls drop about 53m, being 792 meters wide, while the American falls drop about 20 meters and are 323 meter wide.
