    1-Amino-2,4-dibromoanthraquinone

A synthetic, light sensitive, red powder that is insoluble in water and soluble in many organic solvents. It is used as both an intermediate for the production of anthraquinone dyes and as a starting material for the manufacture of vat dyes. The primary route of potential human exposure to 1-amino-2,4-dibromoanthraquinone is dermal contact. It is reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen. (NCI Thesaurus)
