    ACSL1 wt Allele

    Human ACSL1 wild-type allele is located within 4q34-q35 and is approximately 70 kb in length. This allele, which encodes long-chain-fatty-acid-CoA ligase 1 protein, plays a role in the activation of long-chain fatty acids for both lipid biosynthesis and fatty acid degradation via beta oxidation.
