    ANP32D Protein

Encoded by human ANP32D Gene, 131-amino acid 14.8 kD PP32R2 Protein (PP32 Family) shares approximately 90% amino acid sequence identity with tumor suppressor PP32 and PP32R1. PP32 can inhibit several types of cancers, including prostate and breast cancers. PP32R2 and PP32R1 are tumorigenic. Amino acids 150-174 of PP32 are responsible for its tumor suppressor function and are a region of divergence with PP32R1. Alternative use of PP32, PP32R1, and PP32R2 may modulate the oncogenic potential of human prostate cancer. PP32R2 is expressed in prostate cancer. (from SWISS-PROT, OMIM, and NCI) (NCI Thesaurus)
