    Hymns to the Goddess

    Lakṣmī1 (Laksmīstotram)

    From the Tantrasāra2

O DEVĪ KAMALĀ,3 beloved of Viṣṇu,
    Adored by the three worlds,
As Thou art constant to Viṣṇu, be Thou constant to me.
Whoever worshipping Lakṣmī, reads these twelve names of Her--
    Iśvarī, Kamala,4 Lakṣmī, Calā,5
    Bhūti,6 Haripriyā,7 Padmā,8 Padmālayā,9 Sampat,10
    Uchaih,11 Śrī12 Padmadhārinī,13
With such an one, his wife and children,
    Lakṣmī ever abides.
