    BBMP

    A solid, white, organo-halide carcinogen with a musty odor that consists for 78% of 2,2-Bis(Bromomethyl)-1,3-Propanediol. BBMP is used in industry as a flame retardant in unsaturated polyester resins, in molded products and in rigid polyurethane foam. BBMP is mutagenic and carcinogenic in animals and is reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen. (NCI Thesaurus)
