    Benfluorex

    An antilipidemic agent that decreases the relative rate of hepatic triacylglycerol synthesis. Benfluorex was never approved for use in the United States and was withdrawn in the European Union because of an increased risk of pulmonary hypertension and valvular disease. (NCI Thesaurus)
