    Bernard-Soulier Syndrome

    A rare, autosomal recessive bleeding disorder characterized by deficiency or absence of the Ib/IX/V complex on the surface of platelets. It results in thrombocytopenia, prolonged bleeding time and the presence of giant platelets. (NCI Thesaurus)
