    Bivalent vaccine

    A vaccine that works by stimulating an immune response against two different antigens, such as two different viruses or other microorganisms. For example, Cervarix is a bivalent vaccine that helps protect the body against infection with human papillomaviruses (HPV) types 16 and 18. HPV types 16 and 18 cause most cases of cervical cancer and can cause other types of cancer. (NCI Dictionary)
