    BRD3 wt Allele

Human BRD3 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 9q34 and is approximately 38 kb in length. This allele, which encodes bromodomain-containing protein 3, may be involved in both transcriptional regulation and histone acetylation. This gene is involved in a rare translocation t(15;9)(q14;q34) with the C15orf55 gene that is associated with a rare, aggressive, and lethal carcinoma arising in midline organs of young people.
