    Breast Cancer Progress Review Group

The Breast Cancer Progress Review Group will work with NCI staff in conducting an in-depth evaluation of the current state-of-knowledge regarding this area, survey the literature and related fields of science, and recommend to the NCI, through the National Cancer Advisory Board and the Board of Scientific Advisors, how the Institute can optimally respond to and stimulate research opportunities related to breast cancer including the improvement in detection technologies. This exercise will help set the NCI's research agenda in breast cancer by identifying and prioritizing those scientific opportunities that are most likely to expand our knowledge base and that will ultimately reduce the burden of this cancer.
