    Carbutamide

    A first-generation sulfonylurea with hypoglycemic activity. Carbutamide was one of the first sulfonylurea compounds used but was withdrawn from the market due to toxic effects on bone marrow. This agent has a long half-life. (NCI Thesaurus)
