    CD3G wt Allele

Human CD3G wild-type allele is located within 11q23 and is approximately 9 kb in length. This allele, which encodes T-cell surface glycoprotein CD3 gamma chain protein, plays a role in signal transduction in T cells and is involved in the transition of immature thymocytes to mature CD4+ or CD8+ T cells. Certain allelic variants of the CD3G gene are associated with T cell immunodeficiency. (NCI Thesaurus)
