    CHD2 wt Allele

Human CHD2 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 15q26 and is approximately 125 kb in length. This allele, which encodes chromodomain-helicase-DNA-binding protein 2, may play a role in the modulation of both chromatin structure and gene expression. Deletion of this gene may be associated with congenital diaphragmatic hernia. (NCI Thesaurus)
