    Developmental Milestone

    Definition 1

    Physical or behavioral signs of maturation or skills gained by a developing child, which should be achieved by a given age that provide important information regarding the child's development. The milestones are different for each age range. Failure to achieve a particular milestone by a given age is indicative of developmental delay. (NCI Thesaurus)
