    Fanolesomab

A mouse monoclonal antibody directed against human cluster of differentiation 15 (CD15 or 3-fucosyl-N-acetyllactosamine). Fanolesomab binds to CD15; radioactive labeled fanolesomab may facilitate the visualization of infection sites upon imaging. The CD15 antigen, a carbohydrate adhesion molecule, is expressed on the surface of the majority of granulocytes, including neutrophils and eosinophils and, to a lesser extent, on monocytes. Due to life-threatening side effects, this antibody is no longer on the market. (NCI Thesaurus)
