    An L-tyrosine derived and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) agonist with hypoglycemic and lipid lowering activity. Farglitazar shows greater selectivity over PPARgamma than PPARalpha. This agent is developed for the treatment of hepatic fibrosis. (NCI Thesaurus)
