    Glisamuride

A second-generation sulfonylurea with antihyperglycemic activity. Like other larger sulfonylurea compounds, glisamuride appears to exert greater binding affinity for peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARgamma) agonistic activity among most of the first and second-generation agents.
