    Glutamic Acid Hydrochloride

    The hydrochloride salt form of glutamic acid, a non-essential amino acid. Used as a gastric acidifier, glutamic acid hydrochloride releases hydrochloric acid into the stomach, thereby lowering gastric pH. (NCI Thesaurus)
