    Gonadotropin-releasing hormone

    Pronunciation

    A hormone made by the hypothalamus (part of the brain). GnRH causes the pituitary gland to make luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). These hormones are involved in reproduction. Also called GnRH. (NCI Dictionary)
