    GOPC wt Allele

Human GOPC wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 6q21 and is approximately 284 kb in length. This allele, which encodes Golgi-associated PDZ and coiled-coil motif-containing protein, is involved in the regulation of intracellular protein transport. A chromosomal deletion del(6q21) fuses this gene and the ROS1 gene and is associated with glioblastoma multiforme. (NCI Thesaurus)
