    Granzyme

    A family of serine endopeptidases. Members of this family are stored in the granules of cytotoxic T cells. Upon release of the granules, these enzymes enter infected cells where they can proteolytically stimulate caspase activation and initiate apoptosis. (NCI Thesaurus)
