    H2AFX wt Allele

Human H2AFX wild-type allele is located within 11q23.2-q23.3 and is approximately 2 kb in length. This allele, which encodes histone H2A.x protein, is involved in the modulation of transcription, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. The allele may play a role in the regulation of both immunoglobulin class switch recombination and DNA double strand break repair. (NCI Thesaurus)
