    Insulin-Like Growth Factor-Binding Protein-9

A product of the NOV gene. It is a member of the CCN family of proteins, expressed after induction by growth factors. CCN proteins share several motifs: an IGFBP motif, an oligomeric complex-forming domain, a binding domain for soluble and matrix molecules, and a dimerization CT domain. All CCN members are thought to control cell proliferation. (from OMIM 164958 and NCI) (NCI Thesaurus)
