    Interstitial Cell of the Pineal Gland

    A non-neuronal cell that supports the pineal gland. It resembles an astrocyte and is found around blood vessels and among groups of pinealocytes. The nucleus is small, elongated and darkly stained. (NCI Thesaurus)
