    Kinyoun Staining Method

    A microscopy acid fast staining method that utilizes kinyoun carbol fuchsin, a dye containing basic fuchsin in solution with ethyl alcohol and aqueous phenol. This acid fast staining technique does not require heating during the primary staining step involving the carbol fuchsin. (NCI Thesaurus)
