    ARG1 wt Allele

    Human ARG1 wild-type allele is located 6q23 and is approximately 11 kb in length. This allele, which encodes arginase-1 protein, is involved in the metabolism of both amino acids and urea. Mutation of the gene is associated with argininemia. (NCI Thesaurus)
