    Definition 1

    A rare, persistent and bilateral enlargement of the lacrinmal and salivary glands associated with lymphocytic infiltration of the affected glands. It is not associated with other systemic diseases. (NCI Thesaurus)

    Definition 2

    A chronic, benign, and usually painless inflammatory swelling of the lacrimal and salivary glands. It is considered by some to include the glandular enlargement associated with other diseases, such as Sjogren's syndrome, sarcoidosis, lupus erythematosus, etc. (NLM, Medical Subject Headings)
