    Neratinib maleate

    A drug used to treat early stage breast cancer that is HER2 positive. It is used as extended adjuvant treatment in patients who have already been treated with adjuvant trastuzumab. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Neratinib maleate blocks certain proteins, which may help keep cancer cells from growing and may kill them. It is a type of tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Also called Nerlynx. (NCI Dictionary)
