    Oligodendroglial Component Present

    A tumor component characterized by the presence of a diffuse, homogeneous population of tumor cells (oligodendroglial cells) with round nuclei and clear cytoplasm. The infiltrate has a honeycomb appearance. An oligodendroglial component can be seen in central nervous system tumors including glioblastomas and mixed gliomas. (NCI Thesaurus)
