    PAX7 wt Allele

Human PAX7 wild-type allele is located within 1p36.2-p36.12 and is approximately 105 kb in length. This allele, which encodes paired box gene Pax-7 protein, plays a role in both fetal neural crest formation and myoblast differentiation. In alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, the wild-type allele is involved in a translocation t(1;13)(p36;q14) with the FOXO1 wild-type allele. (NCI Thesaurus)
