Popeye is a trapeze artist and performs difficult numbers with Olive. But Bluto, wanting to take Popeye's place, throws him to the lions.
Popeye is shipwrecked and finds an island inhabited by cannibals. Since he does not suspect them of cannibalism, the cannibals fatten him according to Ima Cannibal's recipe.
Bluto disguises himself as Superman to impress Olive. But when Bluto starts behaving like a lunatic, Popeye transforms into a real Superman and saves Olive.
Popeye and Shorty help Olive Oyl move her furniture. Moving items is not an easy task, and Popeye faces logistical problems.
Popeye and Olive go to the zoo. Bluto, the zookeeper, falls in love with Olive. In order to stay alone with her, he allures Popeye into the animal cages.
In order to steal Olive's heart, Bluto creates a life-size Popeye puppet.
