RARA/PML Fusion Gene
A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation t(15;17)(q22;q21) which fuses the first 2 exons of the RARA gene with the last six exons of the PML gene. A transcript of this gene fusion is associated with acute promyelocytic leukemia. (NCI Thesaurus)
