    RAS-Related Protein RAP1A

Encoded by human RAP1A Gene (RAS GTPase Family), 184-aa 21-kDa (precursor) membrane-bound RAS-Related Protein RAP1A is activated by guanine nucleotide-exchange factors EPAC and EPAC2, in a cAMP-dependent manner, and by GFR. Interacting with RAS GAPs and RAF in a competitive manner, RAP1A counteracts RAS mitogenic function. (NCI Thesaurus)
