    Regular Dense Connective Tissue

    Connective tissue mainly composed of parallel collagenous fibers leaving little room for embedded fibroblasts. This tissue has high tensile strength, but elasticity and flexibility are limited. Examples are tendons, ligaments and the fasciae and aponeuroses of muscles. (NCI Thesaurus)
