    Retro-transcribing Virus

    A virus that replicates by the reverse transcription of a RNA or DNA intermediate. All retro-transcribing viruses utilize the enzyme reverse transcriptase to replicate and may have a DNA- or RNA-based genome. (NCI Thesaurus)
