    Retroperitoneal Lymph Node Dissection

    The surgical removal of retroperitoneal lymph nodes from the abdominal cavity. The surgery is a therapeutic treatment for testicular cancer, performed after (orchiectomy) or testicular removal. The surgery is recommended for men who are at an increased risk of metastasis, or who decline other treatment options such as radiation or chemotherapy. (NCI Thesaurus)
