    SCHIP1 wt Allele

Human SCHIP1 wild-type allele is located within 3q25.32-q25.33 and is approximately 624 kb in length. This allele, which encodes schwannomin-interacting protein 1, may be involved in the regulation of signaling. A fusion gene resulting from a read-through of this gene and an upstream neighbor, the IQCJ gene, may be associated with the propagation of nerve impulses. (NCI Thesaurus)
