    SELE wt Allele

    Human SELE wild-type allele is located within 1q22-q25 and is approximately 11 kb in length. This allele, which encodes E-selectin protein, plays a role in the accumulation of blood leukocytes at sites of inflammation by mediating the adhesion of cells to the vascular lining.
