    SKIV2L wt Allele

    Human SKIV2L wild-type allele is located within 6p21 and is approximately 11 kb in length. This allele, which encodes helicase SKI2W protein, plays a role in the unwinding of RNA. It is also involved in preventing translation of poly(A)-deficient mRNA transcripts. (NCI Thesaurus)
