    Streptomyces albus

    Definition 1

    A species of aerobic, Gram positive, filamentous bacteria in the phylum Actinobacteria. This species is non motile, gelatinase and protease positive, spore forming and produces salinomycin, which is used as an additive in animal feed. S. albus is not a known pathogen. (NCI Thesaurus)
