    Tauromustine

    A water-soluble taurine-based nitrosourea with potential antineoplastic activity. Tauromustine alkylates DNA and causes DNA cross links independent of cell cycle, thereby resulting in disruption of DNA function and induction of apoptosis. (NCI Thesaurus)
