    Tesaglitazar

A dual peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) agonist, with hypoglycemic activity. Tesaglitazar is more potent on the gamma subtype than on the alpha subtype of PPAR. This agent improves atherogenic dyslipidemia but may cause an increase in fibrosarcoma formation. (NCI Thesaurus)
