    Abetalipoproteinemia

    An autosomal recessive disorder characterized by defective absorption of dietary fat, cholesterol and fat-soluble vitamins. It results in multiple vitamin deficiencies. Signs and symptoms include failure to thrive, diarrhea, steatorrhea, acanthocytosis and ataxia. (NCI Thesaurus)
