    Elementary Charge

    A fundamental physical constant equal to the scalar value of positive electric charge carried by a single proton or equivalently, the negative charge carried by a single electron. It is used as a unit of electric charge in the system of atomic units. Elementary charge has a value of 1.602 176 487x10E-19 C in the SI system. (NCI Thesaurus)
