    Enterobacter amnigenus

    Definition 1

    A species of facultatively anaerobic, Gram negative, rod shaped bacterium in the phylum Proteobacteria. This species is motile by peritrichous flagella, ferments lactose, indole negative, lysine decarboxylase negative and does not produce acid from sorbitol. E. amnigenus is an opportunistic pathogen in humans and can be found in water and soil. (NCI Thesaurus)
